Renault Trucks has launched two new truck ranges to the Middle East during an event held in Doha, Qatar
According to Renault Trucks, models from the new C and K ranges have the capacity to accept a variety of body types, with each model easily adapted to a wide range of applications and customer demands from the distribution and construction segments.
The C range has two options of cabin width ? 2.3 metres and 2.5 metres ? with the larger size cab designed for long haul, light construction and heavy distribution, and the smaller size cab intended for distribution and deliveries.
Designed to meet tough demands within the construction industry, the new K range aims to meet new standards in durability and robustness, and includes a front bumper made from 100 per cent steel and featuring headlamp protection.
?In developing the C and K ranges, we have deployed significant resources to ensure these vehicles deliver maximum reliability,? said Renault Trucks president Bruno Blin. ?Each range has undergone rigorous quality trials and has also been exhaustively field tested under actual operating conditions.
?Both new ranges have been designed and developed in close association with international customers, who have been involved in the project from the design stage right through to testing under actual operating conditions,? Blin added.
The C and K ranges were launched to industry professionals and the media during an event on the beach of the Diplomatic Club Doha, followed by a drive event the following day, which took place at Doha?s Losail International Motor GP Circuit.
According to Lars-Erik Forsbergh, president of Renault Trucks Middle East, the trucks were tested on rugged terrain in Oman for more than a year prior to their launch.
Earlier this year, Renault introduced its new distribution-focused D range of trucks to the Middle East with a facelift model.
The French manufacturer?s dealer network throughout the Middle East covers 13 countries, with the company expecting to enjoy growth of 30 per cent between 2012 and 2015 in Qatar alone.
