Energy management and automation provider Schneider Electric has named Nihad El Jarroudi as its new vice president of Industrial Automation for Gulf countries. With more than 18 years of experience within Schneider Electric, El Jarroudi brings a wealth of leadership and expertise across a range of sectors
Having commenced her journey with Schneider Electric in France, El Jarroudi subsequently moved to Morocco, where she led the charge in the Mining, Minerals, and Metals business for French-speaking Africa and Islands.
In her latest capacity, El Jarroudi will take the helm of Schneider Electric's endeavours in industrial automation and digital transformation across the Gulf region. Her aim is to deliver cutting-edge solutions that bolster efficiency, resilience, and profitability for businesses spanning various industries.
Growing sector
This appointment arrives at a pivotal juncture, coinciding with the UAE government's ambitious plans to ramp up the industrial sector's contribution to GDP from US$36bn to US$82bn by 2031. This bold vision is underpinned by the promotion of Industry 4.0 technologies and the establishment of the nation as a global nexus for future industries.
