Atlantic hopes to boost its presence in the Middle East and impress at The Big 5 when it unveils its new solar-powered offerings suited to both domestic and commercial appliances this month

The French climate control engineering company has announced it is set to launch a range of solar-powered heating solutions at the construction show in Dubai, which it believes will respond to the specific needs of the Gulf region.

The new systems include the Solerio Select, a closed circuit thermosiphon solution, which is able to absorb 95 per cent of solar radiation to heat water stored in its corrosion-proof Atlantic tank.

Following its investment this year in a new high-tech production line for commercial and industrial tanks, Atlantic is also introducing the new Corsun range of environmentally-friendly solar heating tanks that can hold up to 2000 litres.

A spokesperson for Atlantic said that there is a growing demand for solar energy in the Middle East, but its environment means there are different conditions to take into account.

He explained that, for example, not only do the positioning and function of the panels and the quality of the solar collectors need to be adapted, but as the region requires more water than elsewhere, the tanks themselves must have a larger capacity.

Also making its debut at The Big 5 is Atlantic?s heat pump water heater Explorer, which combines both solar and heat pump technologies making it a suitable and consistent option for heating water even during the night and bad weather.

According to the French multi energy solution provider, these new systems are a result of a focus on producing more efficient renewable energy solutions as well as dedicating approximately 4 per cent of its turnover to research and development.
