Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) has awarded contracts to local contractors to reinforce two existing power plants in the kingdom.
SEC signed a contract with Al-Fanar Company to reinforce a power plant at Hail in the country?s Central region. The deal is worth US$217.5mn.
A smaller contract, worth US$55mn, for the Al-Jouf power plant in Saudi Arabia?s Eastern region has been signed with National Contracting Company.
Both projects are scheduled to be completed by January 2012.
