Sadara Chemical Company signs US$3.77bn power deal

Saudi Arabia?s Sadara Basic Services stated that its parent firm Sadara Chemical Company has signed a power supply agreement with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC)

The deal is worth US$3.77bn and the power will be supplied by SEC to the chemicals complex in Jubail Industrial City. The agreement signed by Sadara Chemical Company has a 20-year renewable term.

Sadara Basic Services maintains and operates contracts, and manages and operates petrochemical plants. It was incorporated in 2012 and is based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Sadara Basic Services Company operates as a subsidiary of Sadara Chemical Company, which is a US$20bn JV between Saudi Aramco and The Dow Chemical Company.
