Swedish heat transfer technology solutions provider Alfa Laval has won an order to supply waste heat recovery systems from Alfa Laval Aalborg for two diesel power plants in the Middle East

The recovery units will be manufactured at Aalborg in Denmark and has been scheduled for a delivery in 2013. The total project cost has been estimated to be US$11.7mn.

The Alfa Laval Aalborg waste heat recovery systems will reuse heat from the diesel engines to produce steam for the turbines that generate electricity in the diesel power plants.

The plants, built by the Danish power plant specialist Burmeister & Wain Scandinavian Contractor, will be expected to secure reliable and efficient power generation with help of the Alfa Laval solutions.

Alfa Laval Group president and CEO Lars Renstr?m (pictured above) said, ?Energy efficiency is becoming increasingly important and we have the products and solutions to contribute to a more sustainable energy supply. This order confirms our position in heat recovery solutions for the diesel power industry.?
