In order to ensure energy efficiency and accuracy prior to installation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that its energy meter testing laboratory will provide electricity meter testing & current transformer testing services
To avail this service, customers need to apply for and track the service on DEWA?s website and smart app. Testing charges and other details are also available on DEWA?s website.
DEWA?s energy meter testing Laboratory has been accredited by Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC) as per the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025:2005, which specifies the requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
Also these requirements are adopted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). DEWA?s lab is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa to receive this international accreditation, which covers the technical requirements to prove the efficiency of testing and calibration laboratories.
