Setra e.Vision awards Saudi lighting deal to Schneider

Schneider Electric has won a US$32mn lighting deal for PME, Saudi.

Setra e.Vision has awarded Schneider Electric a US$32mn deal to provide automated lighting controls system for Presidency of Meteorology and Environment (PME) centre, Jeddah.

Green building

Schneider will install KNX products in the building that control and monitor lighting systems including presence sensors, switching and dimming which will create a green building that saves the energy and make it more efficient.

The project is scheduled to be finished in August 2012, a company statement said.

Hesham AboRejal, VP of LifeSpace and Residential Business at Schneider Electric, said: "Leading technical and commercial companies have been competing for the prestigious PME centre and we are delighted to be awarded the contract."
