Abu Dhabi to get its first hydrogen-powered taxi

Tawasul Transport has partnered with ADNOC,Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), and Al Futtaim Motors to test Abu Dhabi's first green hydrogen taxi

Abu Dhabi has announced a trial operation of this taxi, and the project is part of the emirate's goals to reduce emissions and dependence on fossil fuels. Tawasul Transport, together with Al Futtaim Motors, will provide the operational data, including kilometres driven, green hydrogen consumption, operating hours and clean refuelling procedures. 

The taxi will be run by Toyota's Mirai model, which is powered by hydrogen. It will refuel at a green hydrogen pilot refuelling station, which is located at Masdar City and operated by ADNOC Distribution.
