Saudi Arabian steel firm wins Aramco project

Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SSP) has won two contracts worth more than US$66mn to supply OCTG steel pipes to Saudi Aramco

The two deals will be extension of earlier contracts between Saudi Aramco and SSP that were struck in 2012 and the first-half of 2013. SSP has already begun the production process to deliver pipes on a monthly basis.

A statement from SSP claimed that the winning of the two contracts has substantiated the company?s commitment to quality, delivery and competitive pricing of products.

The raw material for the pipes will be supplied locally from Saudi Iron and Steel Company and Saudi Basic Industries. The pipes for these contracts will be produced at the SSP company pipe factory in Dammam Second Industrial City according to the specifications of Saudi Aramco.
