Hyundai Motors UAE distributor Juma Al Majid Establishment (JAME) has signed a deal worth US$8mn to supply a fleet of commercial vehicles to the Ras Al Khaimah government

Hyundai Motors said it will deliver 84 heavy-duty trucks to a government organisation in Ras Al Khaimah to serve the first phase of a major construction project which is set to begin soon.

Walaa Diab, national sales manager for heavy-duty trucks at Hyundai UAE, said, "Hyundai has established its name in the UAE as a producer of technologically-advanced, luxurious, yet highly affordable passenger cars.

"This latest deal will cement its reputation as a manufacturer of quality commercial vehicles, the first choice for construction organisations that require high quality transportation capable of handling demanding projects," he added.

Hyundai reported that its UAE commercial vehicle segment is growing steadily.

Supported by service centres across the country, the company is providing complete after-sales service facilities through a professional team dedicated to heavy-duty truck customers, it added.
