Alserkal to open truck facility centre worth US$2.72mn in Dubai

Nasser Bin Abdullatif Alserkal Est. has partnered with Dubai Municipality to construct Alserkal Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre worth US$2.72mn in the Al Ruwwaya area of Dubai that will fulfil the increasing demand of a professional trucking centre and facility for the UAE

The company is the sole importer and distributor of Bridgestone brand tyres for Dubai and the northern emirates within the UAE.

As a part of Alserkal?s strategic retail expansion plan in the UAE, the new facility centre is set to be completed end of the Q1 2018, spanning across 4830.96 sq m.

As truck market sales in the UAE are expected to grow at compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of eight per cent until 2021, Alserkal Bridgestone Truck Tyre Centre has been constructed to meet the increasing demand of transporters on quality products and services.

Alserkal explained that the new facility centre will contain a truck wash, repair facility and insurance counter, to provide trucking solutions to private, fleet and transport companies in the UAE.

In addition, the centre will provide preventive maintenance services (PM) like oil, lube and filter service for trucks and trailers, DOT annual inspections, electrical repairs for lights, charging and starting, brake adjustments, repair and replacements and minor body repair services.

Ahmed Abdul Karim, assistant director general for public support at Dubai Municipality, said, ?The centre is expected to add positive value to the continuing efforts to provide excellent, safe, healthy, environmentally friendly and accessible services, which in turn, will further reinforce the strategic vision of Dubai Municipality towards sustainability and development of strategic partnerships.?

Tariq Al Rasheed, director of retail and marketing of Alserkal, added, ?The facility centre is being positioned as the first one-stop show for truck owners and transport companies, with a total of 148 rentals from the Dubai Municipality as well as the owners of trucks and transport companies outside the market.?

The company has confirmed that the new facility centre will be operated by certified and highly-experienced trucking maintenance managers and technicians, with an aim to set international standards and best practices in heavy vehicle maintenance.
