US-based consultancy Louis Berger has been awarded a US$65mn contract by the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) to deliver construction management services on the Riyadh Metro project
The contract was awarded as part of the Riyadh Advanced Metro Project Execution and Delivery (RAMPED) joint venture, which is 55 per cent owned by Louis Berger and 45 per cent by partner Hill International.
As part of the project, Louis Berger will oversee design and construction deliverables through the project lifecycle of Package 3, which will include Line 4, Line 5 and Line 6 and cover 67km of track with 48km of elevated alignment, 5.5km of mined tunnel, 22 stations and nearly 13km of bored tunnel.
The contract will cover a five-year performance period and a 24-month defects liability period.
