Switzerland-based private jet operator Vertis Aviation is planning to open its first Middle East office in Dubai in early 2014

According to journal Corporate Jet Investor, Vertis Aviation?s office is expected to be located in the Dubai Freezone, with Catherine Buchanan as general manager for its Middle East operations.

Vertis Aviation?s fleet include the Airbus Corporate Jet, the Bombardier Global Express and the Dassault Falcon. Earlier this year, the company added a Bombardier Global 6000 jet to its fleet to cater to the South African market.

The operator is owned by aviation company 28 East Group and is affiliated to the Baltic Air Charter Association and the National Business Aviation Association.

Buchanan said, ?With executive aviation moving away from the Dubai International Airport to the new Al Maktoum International Airport, the aviation landscape is changing. The region values bespoke services and a boutique-style model which Vertis provides. Clients in this region expect proper care and our reputation for attention to detail, combined with a luxury brand provides a great platform to develop new business.?

Vertis Aviation partner Jeffrey Emmenis said, ?The decision to open an office in the region was driven by the fact that the GCC is our biggest market and we already have strong relationships with clients in Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, the UAE and Qatar. The region continues to offer a buoyant, dynamic commercial environment.?
