Saudi Arabias Mobily has chosen Ericsson to provide an Evolved Packet Core (EPC) solution for increasing the capacity and improving the performance of its core communications network
EPC is a flat IP-based core network architecture that supports 2G, 3G and 4G technologies.?When integrated with existing LTE access networks, it will allow more than 20 million Mobily subscribers to experience the benefits of an enhanced telecommunications network across Saudi Arabia.

"We've had a longstanding relationship with Ericsson and are well aware of the level of services and return on investment the company can offer as we continue to work toward ensuring that our subscribers are given access to the latest in telecommunications technology."
Mobily's decision to opt for EPC has been driven by the rapid growth of mobile broadband, new multimedia services and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications.
