With a logistics market worth US$27bn and vast transport infrastructure projects underway, the UAE is set to become an undisputed global hub for trade, said Jamie Hosie, project director, ahead of the second edition of The Cargo Show MENA, which is taking place alongside Middle East Rail, on 8-9 March 2016
?Multimodal transport infrastructure investment in the region is booming and the logistics industry needs to know how this will impact their business. We look forward to welcoming key decision makers in the region under one roof to discuss the industry?s potential, exchange knowledge, and network with potential partners or clients,? Jamie added.
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Cargo Show MENA opens on Tuesday at Dubai International Convention Centre.
The show is the most comprehensive supply chain and logistics event in the region, bringing together over 3000 supply chain managers and logistics professionals to learn about local developments, establish contacts and exchange their knowledge on the current scene of the industry. Alongside the exhibition, conferences and the demos, the show will introduce ?The Game of Chains?, which is an interactive case study in which companies can test their strength and weaknesses in planning strategies at times of crisis.
With two conference streams covering supply chain management, infrastructure development, shipping trends and air cargo, alongside a dedicated exhibition, the two-day programme promises to offer a valuable learning for every part of the cargo ecosystem at the show.
Topics to be discussed during the conference include The future of multimodal integration in the Middle East, Leading the race to a seamless, integrated trade corridor, Building a global sustainable value chain for the dynamics of the 21st century, and Building mega ports of the future.
Key sponsors include Dubai Port World (title sponsor), Oman Rail and Etihad Rail (Government Partners), Al Futtaim Motors, Toyata and Hino (Gold Sponsors), Sohar Port & Free Zone (Silver Sponsor) and other sponsors include Al Futtaim Logistics, dnata and Emirates.
