ENGIE completes US$760mn investment in Tabreed 

The UAE?s National Central Cooling Company (Tabreed) has announced the successful completion of the investment by the global energy company ENGIE to acquire 40 per cent of the shares in Tabreed for approximately US$760mn. Click here to read the full story.  

Deal for largest solar storage project signed in Jordan 

Jordanian PV manufacturer Irbid District Electricity Company and EPC Philadelphia Solar are developing a 11MW generation site, which will be paired with a 12MWh lithium-ion battery, which will perform peak shaving and load shifting duties to support the grid during daytime hours. DEWA completes 70 per cent of M-Station expansion 

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced that CEO Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer recently reviewed the progress of the M-Station expansion project, the newest and largest electricity generation and water desalination plant in the UAE, and that 70 per cent of the project has been completed.
