The Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with Made Expo hosted ?Made Expo 2017: Made in Italy Construction Solutions and Materials? at the Big 5
The conference was hosted by Gianpaolo Bruno, the Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan and focussed on what Italy has to offer the world market and highlighted many Italian projects. Architect Giovanni Giacobone, senior associate at Progetto CMR and Gianni Righi, sales executive for Made Expo were speakers at the event.
Speaking to Technical Review Middle East, Giacobone commented on the increasing presence of Italian products and services in the Middle East described the region as a market with ?great potential.?
The event highlighted the Made Expo, a renowned Italian design and construction trade show to be held on 8-11 March 2017 in Fiera Milano RHO, which was described by Bruno as an ideal meeting platform for industry professionals such as architects, manufacturers, designers, contractors, engineers and retailers.
Italy has a significant presence at the Big 5 this year with participation from 348 companies including the Chamber of Commerce and other agencies and a promotional booth by the Italian Trade Agency. The exhibitors offer the latest products and services in building materials, earth-moving and construction machinery, maintenance products and equipment, water and environmental services, metal products as project management and consultancy.
As foreign design firms interest in MADE Expo are on the rise, the Italian Trade Agency has played an important role by creating a bridge between foreign and Italian firms,? Bruno said. Through its network and connections within the GCC, the Italian Trade Agency has helped create awareness for Made EXpo in the UAE, resulting a surge of B2B meetings, foreign attendees and exhibitors at the event.
