Organised by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and being held under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and the Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, the exhibition aims to provide a unique platform for global green solution providers from private and public sectors that nurture international interest in green innovations, support a sustainable environment and the shift into a green economy.

This is done by reducing carbon emissions that have a negative impact on our health, environment and development.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, managing director and CEO of DEWA and founder and chairman of WETEX, commented, ?The exhibition will feature a range of activities related to energy and water conservation, environmental protection, green buildings and the latest advanced solutions that aim to reduce carbon emissions, and increase investment opportunities in green innovations.?

As the UAE is witnessing a growing demand for green technology solutions, especially in light of the new laws and the introduction of new standards for electrical devices set by the government, WETEX 2018 aims to support the government's approach by promoting green innovations and solutions.

?We are organising the exhibition is a realisation of the directives of our wise leadership to promote the sustainable development and the green economy of the UAE, and to achieve the UAE Centennial 2071 objectives of securing a happy future and a better life for future generations, making the UAE the best country in the world,? Al Tayer further added.
