Dubai-based engineering services company Action International Services will use six- to 16-litre Volvo Penta engines for its diesel pump operations in Middle East and North Africa
Action International Services reportedly specialises in ground water control, industrial services and piling and ground engineering works. It also rents pumps to companies working in the construction, oil and gas, pipeline, marine and wastewater industries in the Middle East and North Africa.
The company assembles its pumps in Dubai and installs 200 diesel engines every year.
Declan Breen, GM of Action International Services, said, ?When we were using competitor engines, we often ran into problems getting them serviced in the field. But if I call Volvo Penta, they sort out the problem straight away. That?s exactly what we need in our region.?
Action International Services said remote areas of the Middle East and North Africa are demanding, and so engines have to be strong and durable.
?You have to ensure that pumps working in these conditions are reliable. That?s why we?re sticking with Volvo Penta,? added Breen.
Action International Services has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. It is owned by Mazrui Holdings.
