Al Jaber wins Saadiyat project bid

Al Jaber Building has been selected to build the US$481mn Hidd Al Saadiyat Villa Development by the Saadiyat Investment & Development Company (SIDC)

The luxury villa complex on Saadiyat Island will stretch along almost seven kilometres of waterfront. Al Jaber Building, a subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi-based Al Jaber Group, will build 462 villas on an area of about 1.5mn sq metres.

The construction will also include two community centres and the project is scheduled for completion in 2016.

The development of the Saadiyat Island was directed at adding luxury to Abu Dhabi living standards. The first villas on the island were handed over in 2011.

The island will also be home to the Saadiyat Cultural District, where a museum will be built. Luxury hotels, the Monte Carlo Beach Club and the Saadiyat Beach Golf Club will also be added to the island?s offerings.
