DEWA signs new network cable contract

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a new 132 kV electricity cable network contract worth US$5.3mn for both the Gardens and Dubai Investment Park area

The deal marks an attempt for the authority to raise the capacity and efficiency of electricity transmission networks across the emirate.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, CEO of DEWA, said, "As part of its role as sustainable on a global level, contributing to the body effectively in the process of social development The economic and environmental in the emirate by providing continued supply and stable electricity and water investigation to see Dubai."

The length of network cables, measuring up to 26,000 metres, covers a wide area at Jebel Ali where the scope of work includes project procurement, drilling extensions, testing, commissioning and linkage with existing networks

The work is expected to be complete by February 2014.
