RAK Ceramics had a strong first day at the Big 5 International Building and Construction Show in Dubai and displayed a range of cutting-edge products such as its Nanopix Slim and tiles using the latest printing technology.
The company has done well to navigate the financial crisis by exploiting new markets and designs and introducing a new range of products that has helped the company become one of the world?s top ceramic and porcelain tile manufacturer with more than US$1 billion in annual global sales.
?We have been able to consolidate and strengthen our position from 2009 despite the business slowdown caused by the global crisis by constantly pursuing new segments and markets. Right now we are eyeing further expansion into India and we continue to position ourselves as premier tile supplier to the Gulf region,? commented Dr. Khater Massaad, CEO, RAK Ceramics.
RAK Ceramics has used Big 5 as a platform to showcase the company?s latest products and 2010 was no exception. Interlocking Tiles using high-resolution digital technology, 6.5mm tick Nanopix slim tiles was the centerpiece of RAK?s display.
RAK Ceramics latest projects include the Al Raha Beach development in Abu Dhabi where 170,000 sqm of its tiles installed, the 305-luxury villa Al Barari Development in Dubai where RAK Ceramics supplied 212,000 sqm of tiles. Other high-profile developments included in RAK Ceramics?s credits are the US$11.5 billion Princess Noura Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh where 85 per cent of the tiles were provided.
